Is it painful?
Tolerance varies from person to person. Topical anesthetics are used. Ramona, through her research, has come up with the most effective combination of formulas to make you as comfortable as possible. The sensation varies from vibrating and tickling to stinging. There are also some helpful hints covered in your consultation to make your procedure more comfortable.
Is it really permanent like a tattoo?
It is considered to be a tattoo. However, pigments used are unlike the inks used for body art and will fade over time. With proper care, the longevity of your permanent cosmetics can be increased.
How long does it take to heal?
This may vary. You may experience some redness or swelling initially lasting anywhere from 24 to 48 hours on eyes and lips. Brows generally do not swell. A very light scab will form and it will take around 5 to 7 days to slough off. Lips will look and feel chapped for about a week. In rare cases color may take up to 90 days for the color to really “settle in.”
How long does it take?
The actual procedure takes about 40-45 min. More time is scheduled for photos.
And signing consent forms.  Time is also necessary for applying topical anesthetics prior to treatment.
 
 How safe is it?
There are very few people who have allergic reactions to iron oxide pigments or topical anesthetics. However a patch test may be taken at the time of your consultation appointment. At A Beautiful Face Permanently, Ramona has set higher standards that are exceed state and county regulations for the safety and care of her clients. All equipment is covered and only disposable needles, tubes and accessories are used. Ramona not only meets, but exceed all local Health Department standards and is compliant with Cal OSHA and CDC annual recertification.
What if I need an MRI?
Most radiologists in our local area have not had any issues in regards to MRI and permanent cosmetics. It is always recommended that you discuss the matter with your own physician. Will I need a touch-up?
You will most likely need a touch-up to complete your procedure. This is to insure the best customer satisfaction at A Beautiful Face Permanently. There is no charge for this touch up.
